How often the things we think we want fail to satisfy our dreams! Money doesn’t buy happiness. The pursuit of freedom from rules and restraints ends up leading us down a path of self destruction. The desire to be the captain of our own ship leaves us ship-wrecked. In Jesus’ teaching, the youngest son we know as the prodigal son depicts the hazards of charting our own course and the way back from the pig sty.
