Betsy Moore - Assistant Organist |

Betsy Moore is Assistant Organist at Grace United Methodist Church. She has served in this position for 25 years and been a member of this congregation for 29 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and earned a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
Betsy was born and grew up in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. She studied piano and organ there and served as organist at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church while she was in high school.
Betsy works as a physicist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on computer modeling of reacting flows. She has also been a member of the Montgomery Village Community Band, playing flute and piccolo, for over 20 years.
